About Bali Blockchain Research Grant (BBRG)
The Bali Blockchain Research Grant is a funding program designed to support research and development on the use of blockchain technology. This program aims to enhance the understanding and application of blockchain across various fields, from upstream to downstream. Grant recipients typically include research institutions, universities, or research bodies focused on blockchain technology and innovation.
What topics are needed in this program?
Blockchain-Based Food Trust & Agricultural System
Research Topic
The Bali Blockchain Research Grant is a funding program designed to support research and development on the use of blockchain technology. This program aims to enhance the understanding and application of blockchain across various fields, from upstream to downstream. Grant recipients typically include research institutions, universities, or research bodies focused on blockchain technology and innovation
Sub-Research Topics
• Blockchain Application in Food Production Processes
Analyzing how blockchain can authenticate and trace all stages of poultry and egg production, from farms to consumption
• Proof of Farm and Proof of Meat
This research could explore how proof of origin (proof of farm) and product proof (proof of meat) can help consumers and regulators ensure the quality and safety of food products
• Data Security in Halal Certification
Using blockchain to secure halal certification and prove that food products meet recognized halal standards
Blockchain in Creative Economy
Research Topic
This research will explore how blockchain can be used to secure and verify transactions in the creative economy, such as arts, traditional textiles, and crafts. Blockchain can provide legitimate proof of ownership and creation of artworks or creative products
Sub-Research Topics
• Proof of Artist and Proof of Creation
Analyzing how blockchain can be used to verify the identity of artists and
their works, as well as copyrights on art or craft products
• Intellectual Property Management through Blockchain
Examining how blockchain can manage and protect intellectual property in
the creative economy, and reduce issues like piracy or plagiarism
• Proof of Transaction and Proof of Artist
Validating the authenticity of transactions and the relationship between
creators and buyers in the art market
Blockchain for Rural Banking & Financial Businesses
Research Topic
This research will focus on the application of blockchain technology in rural banking and cooperative businesses to increase financial access and reduce transaction risks. Blockchain can provide legitimate proof of credit, transactions, and identities within a more transparent banking ecosystem
Sub-Research Topics
• Proof of Credit in Rural Banking
Investigating how blockchain can be used to provide trustworthy proof of
credit transactions in rural banking
• Proof of Person and Proof of Transaction
Analyzing how blockchain can be used to verify borrower identities and
ensure transaction authenticity in cooperative businesses
• Data Security in Financial Transactions
Assessing blockchain’s potential to protect financial data and improve
transaction integrity in rural banking
Blockchain for Blue or Green Carbon Tracking
Research Topic
This research will explore the use of blockchain in tracking seaweed production and monitoring blue carbon, focusing on environmental sustainability. Blockchain can provide legitimate proof of the quality and amount of carbon absorbed by marine ecosystems through seaweed
Sub-Research Topics
• Proof of Production and Proof of Carbon
Investigating how blockchain can be used to validate the amount of carbon
absorbed by seaweed and other related products in the blue economy
• Improving Accuracy in Carbon Measurement
Studying how blockchain could reduce errors in carbon monitoring and
improve environmental data accuracy
• Blockchain Application in Blue Carbon Certification
Investigating how blockchain can facilitate certification and reporting
for blue carbon projects that can be traded or reported
Blockchain for Village Governance & Administrative System
Research Topic
This research will focus on applying blockchain to improve administrative transparency and village government governance. By using blockchain, administrative documents can be audited more easily, improving accountability and oversight at the village government level
Sub-Research Topics
• Proof of Document and Proof of Process
Investigating how blockchain can be used to verify and track documents and
processes in village government administration
• Transparency and Accountability in Village Government
Examining how blockchain can improve transparency in decision-making
processes and budget distribution at the village level
• Using Blockchain to Improve Village Public Services
Assessing how blockchain implementation can enhance public services and
ensure villagers’ rights are better protected
Research Title
“Blockchain for Village Governance: Improving Transparency and Accountability in Village Government Administration” (to be expanded)
Variables that Can Be Researched:
- The effectiveness of blockchain in improving village government transparency.
- The impact of blockchain on accountability in village fund management.
- The security of data and administrative documents with blockchain
